NZPA Announcement – 2008 Trans Tasman Challenge
Posted on Wednesday, March 12th, 2008The NZPA regretfully announce the cancellation of the 2008 Trans Tasman 8-Ball and 9-Ball teams Test Match which was to be hosted by the ACBS in April. The decision to cancel was not made lightly, and was due to the APPF being unable to field a women’s team.
It is agreed that this is a sad and unfortunate situation especially as this also occurred in 2006. It is hoped that the NZPA and APPF can work together to secure the Test Match or a similar prestigious event in the future.
The Trans Tasman 9-Ball event is still scheduled to be played 18-20 April and we hope to see many players there as this is always a great event.
