With a field of eight, two sections of four played a one-frame round robin to determine the eight placings based on performance for Post-Section play.
All Post-Section play was the best of three frames. Unfortunately there was a late withdrawal which left once section with only three players; this meant the top qualifier over-all. Ramona Belmont, got a bye into the Semi-finals.
Former NZ Women’s Snooker Champion, Temple Geayley played the current NZ Women’s Snooker Champion, Ramona Belmont in the Final. Belmont always seemed to have the edge over Geayley, who hasn’t played in a snooker tournament for a number of years, and took the title 2/0. Belmont also had the highest break of the tournament of 44.
