Report by Wyn Belmont (NZBSA Executive Committee) : A field of 14 players turned up to compete in our first Handicap Snooker tournament. Three junior players took part – David Lihou, Rixon Korewha and Luois Chand. Some of our newer players took part and some handicaps were adjusted after section play was completed. The two days were enjoyed by all, as we hold more of these tournament our numbers will hopefully grow. Big thanks to ACBS Clubrooms for the use of the tables, Clive Thomson for preparing the tables, and Malcolm Beehre for administrating the event.

Held at the ACBS Clubrooms : 30 May 2010
Report by Malcolm Beehre : The 10-ball day was certainly a bit different, partly because of the random draw and also because of players not turning up and not phoning in to let us know! 10-ball has some of the same quirks that 9-ball has, in as much as players can end up with a run of winning frames easier than they can in 8-ball. One such match was David Li Hou being 6/1 down to Jeremiah Taite, but then getting three 10-ball plants in the next six frames to win 7/6.
