In the first two years we addressed our membership fees and I believe the present structure is the right one for us.  Also table hire rates are now half price for members.

What we are looking at now is the price of alcohol and the availability of food.

For those who travel to tournaments outside of Auckland and receive travel subsidies, we have changed the criteria and are now paying these with non-gaming machine funds, eliminating the need to retain receipts.  However, this can only continue while we are taking enough on table hire, so it is important that members use the club as much as possible.  Don’t forget members can play for four hours for only $10 up until 7 pm daily.

We have altered our liquor prices to the same levels as charged by other clubs in our area, so come along and be pleasantly surprised.

Also we are intending to enter teams in the ACBS Interclub Snooker League.  Anyone interested in playing is to please contact either Clive or myself.  Games are to be played on Tuesday nights and we will also need a B and C grade team.

Free coaching for members for both Snooker and Pool will now be held on Wednesday nights, starting on 02 May 2007 at 6.00 pm.  A snooker tournament is also held on these nights.

Finally, don’t forget the Annual General Meeting scheduled for 06 June 2007 at 7.00 pm at the ACBS Club Rooms, 713 Mt Albert Road, Royal Oak.  This is the time you can have your say in matters regarding your club.
