Tournament Entry Conditions and Criteria

The following conditions and criteria relate to ALL events hosted by the Auckland Billiards & Snooker Assn, the Auckland Confederation of Billiard Sports Inc, or the Auckland Pool Assn:

  • In the event that you win an event you will be required to provide your IRD Number.  Failure to provide us with your IRD Number will result in payments of NZ$500.00 and over being disallowed.
  • Smoke-free and alcohol-free playing conditions apply on all events.

Auckland Billiards & Snooker events:

  • For Auckland (Regional) events competitors must hold current FULL ACBS membership before your entry will be accepted.
  • For Open events the above applies, or competitors must be a current financial member of an NZPA Regional Association before your entry will be accepted.
  • For North Island, National and Oceania events hosted by the Auckland Billiards & Snooker Association, entries must be submitted through Regional Secretaries.
  • Handicap Pairs Combination Criteria: A-Grade and B-Grade, A-Grade and C-Grade, B-Grade and B-Grade, B-Grade and C-Grade, C-Grade and C-Grade.  Two A-Grade players MAY NOT play in the same combination.
  • For Veteran’s event competitors must be aged over 50 years of age as at the date of the event.
  • Dress and Conduct Code rules apply as per the NZBSA and the ACBS By-Laws unless otherwise stipulated.

Auckland Pool Assn events:

  • For Auckland (Regional) events competitors must hold current FULL ACBS membership before your entry will be accepted.
  • For Open events the above applies, or competitors must be a current financial member of an affiliated NZBSA Club or Association before your entry will be accepted.
  • For North Island, National and Oceania events hosted by the Auckland Pool Association, entries must be submitted through Regional Secretaries.
  • For B-Grade events competitors may enter who have NEVER WON an NZPA Ranking Event of the code being played.
  • For the Regional Titleholder’s events competitors may enter who have WON an NZPA Ranking Event of the code being played.
  • For Junior/Senior Pairs events one competitor from each pair must be a member of an NZPA Regional Pool Association.
  • For Travel Subsidy events all competitors must hold FULL ACBS current membership, including Juniors.
  • For Junior events competitors who were still 18 years of age as at the end of the previous year are eligible to play an event in the following year, even if that player turns 19 years of age during that year.
  • Dress and Conduct Code rules apply as per the NZPA and the ACBS By-Laws unless otherwise stipulated.
